Ready, Set, & Give Early!

Today, May 5th, begins Early Giving to Give Local - and your support can make a huge difference! Every dollar you donate helps to strengthen local nonprofits that are working hard to serve, uplift, and grow our community. 

We understand that some community members will want to participate in Give Local Alleghany Highlands but will not be available on May 19, 2026. To allow everyone to participate in the event, we have a two-week early giving period where everyone can donate to participating nonprofits. 

Starting May 5, 2026 at 9:00am ET, all donations made through the website will count towards the main fundraising leaderboards and the overall fundraising prizes.

Offline donations need to be in the Alleghany Foundation Office by 5pm ET May 19, 2026 and will not count toward the Power Hour and Golden Ticket competitions on May 19th.

But that's not all!  When you donate before midnight during the 24-hour giving event, running from Tuesday, May 19, 2026 at 12am ET through 11:59:59pm you're not just giving - you're helping your favorite nonprofit compete for a chance to unlock additional prize funds that can significantly boost their impact.
