Supporting local nonprofit organizations is an excellent way to contribute to the growth of our community. The Give Local Alleghany Highlands event presents an opportunity to do just that, and every registered organization stands a chance to win significant prizes from The Alleghany Foundation and The Alleghany Highlands Chamber of Commerce and Tourism.
Starting on May 6th, donors can make early donations but donate on the event day, May 20th, to qualify your donation for more prizes.

What is Give Local Alleghany Highlands?
Give Local Alleghany Highlands is an annual online giving campaign that brings together local nonprofits, supporters, donors and businesses for 24 hours of philanthropy. Co-hosted by The Alleghany Foundation and The Alleghany Highlands Chamber of Commerce and Tourism, we aim to help bring awareness to the nonprofit needs in the community while providing a space that makes giving easy and exciting!
Last year Give Local Alleghany Highlands raised over $490,000 for nonprofits from more than 475 generous donors.

Founded in 1995 following the sale of the Alleghany Regional Hospital, The Alleghany Foundation seeks to be a catalyst for positive change in the Alleghany Highlands. The Foundation aims to focus its capital in a way that leads to a more civically engaged and prosperous community that builds upon its assets to produce opportunities for all residents.

The Alleghany Highlands Chamber of Commerce and Tourism supports this by fostering economic growth and advocating for businesses in the region, including Clifton Forge, Covington, and surrounding Alleghany County. Established in 1906, the Chamber leads efforts in business development, education, tourism promotion, and governmental advocacy through innovative programs.
